Three Dublin players have been named on this year's GAA/GPA Football All-Star team.
The football team of the year has been announced today, ahead of the awards ceremony this Friday.
And it’s four-in-a-row for Paul Flynn.
The Fingallians star has made history- becoming the first Dub and only the fourth footballer ever to win 4 All-Stars on the trot.
He joins Kerry greats Pat Spillane, Paidi O'Se and Jack O'Shea in claiming a similar unbroken run of awards.
Flynn is joined on this year’s team by James McCarthy and Diarmuid Connolly, who both claim their first awards.
All-Ireland champions Kerry lead the way with five awards, Donegal have four and Mayo join the Boys in Blue with three.
Kerry’s Kieran Donaghy wins an award, despite starting just two championship games all year.
In all there are six first-time recipients with Paul Murphy, Peter Crowley, David Moran and Cillian O’Connor joining McCarthy and Connolly.
The Hurling selection and the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards in both codes will be announced this Friday.
