Manager Pat Gilroy has made three changes to his Dublin team for this Sunday's pivotal clash with Laois in Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League.
A defeat or a draw in for the Boys in Blue at O'Moore Park would leave them facing a relegation play-off with bottom side Antrim, in Gilroy's first few months in charge. That said, a victory would be enough to see them into a quarter-final.
Johnny McCaffrey comes in at wing-back in place of Darren Kelly while Cillian Costello pairs up with Fionntain MacGibb in midfield instead of Tomás Connolly who started last time out against Galway.
Donal Burke replaces Paul Crummey in the forward line.
The 1-20 to 1-14 defeat against the All-Ireland champions Galway was the third defeat in the league for Gilroy's charges after losses to Offaly and Limerick while the only victory came away to basement boys Antrim.
Laois, like Dublin, have only have two points on the board but they are 13 points better off in the scoring column which means they only need a draw to escape the relegation shootout.
