Martin O'Neill will see out the full two years of his contract with the FAI, even if a Premier League club comes calling.
The new Irish boss was unveiled at the Gibson Hotel where he assured fans there's no get out clause in his new deal.
CEO John Delaney confirmed that O'Neill and assistant boss Roy Keane will be offered an extension if they fulfill their end of the deal, qualification for France 2016.
The new gaffer was quizzed on everything from the role of Roy Keane, to the League of Ireland.
The Derryman said that he believes that both him and Keane can learn from each other and that he is extremely excited to work with the former skipper.
He was also happy to state that he will cast an eye over the League of Ireland and look out for some youngsters who haven't been spotted yet.
O'Neill will have to get straight to work, as his first game in charge is next Friday, at home to Latvia.
