Munster have resumed preparations for Saturday's return to action in the Guinness PRO14.

Training with the province was suspended for two days last week after an Academy player tested positive for COVID-19.

One member of the senior squad and five more Academy players were asked to begin periods of self-isolation as they were deemed to be 'close contacts' of the player who tested positive.

Munster say that the player who tested positive is now asymptomatic, but continues to be monitored.

They add, "The HSE have contacted all potential close contacts and the six players who were advised to self-isolate by the province have commenced the testing process."

Munster say that all of those tests have returned negative so far.

A third scheduled routine round of PCR testing of players and staff took place on Monday.

Munster resume their PRO14 season with an interprovincial derby against Leinster on Saturday night at the Aviva Stadium.

Eight days later, Johann van Graan's side will face Connacht at the same venue.
