Mike Ross admits the opportunity presented to begin his life after rugby was too good to turn down.
The Leinster prop starts for their Guinness Pro 12 clash with Glasgow Warriors on Friday night having earlier this week announced his plans to retire at season's end.
A job offer from Wizuda to become their new Commercial Director was instrumental in the Ireland international's decision:
“Decided a couple of weeks ago just after looking around and seeing what was out there, a real good opportunity came along that was too good to turn down so I decided to go ahead with that.
“I was double checking it, but at some point everyone has to do it and now is a good a time as any”
Zane Kirchner will likely start his last game at the RDS before he departs to the Newport Gwent Dragons during the summer
Adam Byrne and Fergus McFadden are on the wings.
Tom Daly starts his first ever game at the RDS. Rory O’Loughlin is outside him in the number 13 jersey
Nick McCarthy makes his bow at scrumhalf with his former St. Michael’s classmate Ross Byrne outside him at ten.
Peter Dooley starts at loose head prop with James Tracy at hooker, while Ross is at tight head for his 151st appearance.
Ross Molony will captain the side for the first time in a competitive game. Mick Kearney partners him.
In the back row Dominic Ryan comes in at blind side for what could be his final game. The 27-year-old has not been offered a new deal and is set to leave the province at the end of the season.
Josh van der Flier is selected at open side and Jack Conan continuing at number eight for his 50th cap in Leinster colours.
