Rory McIlroy claimed the Race to Dubai title for the second time in three years yesterday.
And he did so without even hitting a ball.
The World Number One didn’t play this weekend.
But his closest challengers, Sergio Garcia, Marcel Siem and Jamie Donaldson, couldn't beat American Brooks Koepka to the Turkish Airlines Open.
He won by a single stroke from Ian Poulter in Antalya.
And that meant McIlroy couldn’t be caught as European Number One.
