What was meant to be a night of celebration for West Ham United fans turned sour after the Manchester United team bus was attacked by home fans.
The Premier League clash between the two clubs, the last ever game at Upton Park, had to be delayed by forty-five minutes.
It followed an attack on the United team bus by Hammers fans who threw glass bottles and beer cans at it en route to the famous London ground.
United's Jesse Lingard posted a video taken from inside the bus while it was being attacked:
United skipper Wayne Rooney voiced his disappointment with the incident on Sky Sports News before the delayed 8:30pm kick-offRed Devils' boss Louis van Gaal was also very unhappy with what went on before the game
"That was not acceptable and we will work with the police to identify those responsible and ban them for life.

West Ham won the game 3-2, to put a severe dent in United's hopes of a top four Premier League finish.
