Manchester City are on course to lift their second Premier League title in three seasons after this 4-0 win over Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium in their penultimate match.
After a goalless first half, it was more of the same after the interval with City dominating but not creating any clearcut chances till the breakthrough goal in the 64th minute.
The ever dangerous Pablo Zabaleta collected from David Silva and left Villa left back Ryan Bertrand for dead before crossing from the right and there was Eden Dzeko to drill home through the legs of Brad Guzan for his 15th League goal of the campaign.
And his 16th wasn't far away from coming.
Just eight minutes in the 72nd minute and City had wrapped up the points.
And once again it was Zabaleta causing the damage after he picked up a delightful through ball from the effervescent Silva before crossing for Samir Nasri to force a save from Guzan with Dzeko tapping home at the near post.
The third arrived in the 89th minute with substitute Stefan Jovetic drilling home after excellent work from Yaya Toure.
And Toure wrapped up the points three minutes into injury time with a marvellous solo effort started from inside his own half.
So Man City are two points ahead of Liverpool and a draw with West Ham in their last match will be enough to earn them the Premier League title.
***** Republic of Ireland Under 21 international Jack Grealish made his debut for Villa, coming on as an 88th minute substitute for Ryan Bertrand.
