It's all to play for in the first leg of this Champions League quarter final with Manchester United and Bayern Munich going into half time at Old Trafford goalless.

As expected, Bayern have ownership of the ball but they've failed to create any clearcut chances.

The Red Devils have existed on scraps but did have the best chance of the first half.

Bayern were caught in possession and a lightning quick counter attack from United saw Wayne Rooney execute a beautiful slide rule pass to perfection which released Danny Welbeck clean through on the Utd goal.

But the striker never looked composed and his weak chipped finish was easily saved by Manuel Neuer and - if he hadn't stopped it - chasing Bayern defenders would have got to it.

The Bavarians' most incisive opening fell to Arjen Robben with the Dutchman cutting in - as is his trademark - from the right and curling in a left footed effort which was tipped away by David De Gea for a corner.

United's Antonio Valencia has been the only player booked, for a foul on Philipp Lahm.
