It's the middleweight clash that every Irish fan would love to see made...Matthew Macklin versus Andy Lee.
Currently Macklin is fighting on a higher plane than Lee and he has his sights set on the WBC world title, currently held by Miguel Cotto.
First, the Tipperary Tornado must overcome Argentine pugilist Jorge Sebastian Heiland in a WBC title eliminator.
They're set to meet at a sold out National Stadium on August 30th.
That show is being promoted and organised by Eddie Hearns' Matchroom Boxing who have also pencilled in a date for November at the O2.
If he wins, Macklin could go up against Cotto for the title at the Liffeyside venue.
If not, could a fight against Lee be on the cards? Macklin spoke exclusively to 98FM Sport
Does Macklin feel he's taking a risk against a top quality boxer like Heiland in a months time?
The full exclusive interview with Macklin will be broadcast on 98FM's Now That's What I Call Sport this Sunday morning from 9!
