There's more speculation over the future of Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal this morning.
Widespread reports say the Dutchman offered to resign after his side’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton at Old Trafford last weekend.
However, that offer was rejected by United's Executive Vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
He reportedly convinced van Gaal to discuss his future with his family back in the Netherlands, with further talks expected on his future today when he returns to training with the club.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has been under pressure at Old Trafford all season, due to poor results and criticism over the side’s style of play.
He was also booed off the Old Trafford pitch on Saturday after that Southampton defeat- his side’s sixth Premier League loss of the season, which leaves them 5 points off the top four places and 10 points off leaders Leicester.
