Logan and Dooher named joint managers of Tyrone footballers

Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher have been confirmed as the new co-managers of the Tyrone senior footballers.

They replace Mickey Harte, who stepped down last week after 18-years at the helm. He's since been appointed as Louth's new manager.

The Logan and Dooher tandem has been handed a three-year term.

The other main candidate to replace Harte - Mickey Donnelly - dropped out of the running on Wednesday afternoon.

Logan was part of the Tyrone side that reached the 1995 All Ireland final, and had recently been in charge of the county's under-21's.

Under Harte, Dooher captained the Red Hand county to All Ireland glory in 2005 and 2008. He's already worked alongside Logan at underage level.

Joining them in the backroom team will be fellow Tyrone veterans Joe McMahon and Colin Holmes.

The likes of Cathal McShane, Conor Meyler, Lee Brennan and Rory Brennan all played under Logan before progressing to senior age grade.
