Liverpool have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Southampton for the transfer of Virgil van Dijk.
It's believed the Reds will pay Southampton a record £75 million pounds to secure the Dutch international's signature.
The 26-year-old defender will become the world's most expensive defender when he makes the move to Anfield when the transfer window re-opens on January 1, 2018.
Van Dijk will be assigned squad number four, upon his arrival at the club.
