Liverpool get their first Champions League campaign in five years underway this evening.
One of the famous Anfield European football nights is expected later, as the Reds host Ludogorets in their Group B clash.
It’ll be the first game for Liverpool in Europe’s top competition since 2009.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he wants to stay there, insisting "We want to be at the elite level and the Champions League is that.”
The Bulgarian side are expected to be the whipping boys of the group, but Rodgers says they won’t be taking anything for granted.
"We'll respect them like we would if we were playing Real Madrid," he said, adding “They play an open, attacking style and they'll come here with confidence."
Elsewhere in Group B, Real Madrid kick off their bid to retain the trophy, as they welcome FC Basel to the Bernabeu.
Arsenal are also in Champions League Group stage action this evening.
They have a tough task on their hands in their opening Group D tie.
The Gunners are struggling with injuries as they prepare to take on Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
Defenders Mathieu Debuchy and Nacho Monreal are out.
Calum Chambers is also a doubt with tonsillitis, with Wenger rating his chances of recovery at "50-50".
If Chambers misses out, Spanish youngster Hector Bellerin could start in what would be just his second senior appearance for Arsenal.
Wenger has no worries about Bellerin, insisting he is "ready to play", adding that the Spaniard “isn't fazed by the pressure".
“He lacks a bit of experience as a defender, but he's very dangerous going forward."
It'll be familiar opposition for Arsenal, as they met Dortmund in the group stages last season- a game which the Londoners won 1-0 in Germany.
