Liverpool defeated Shamrock Rovers 4-0 in this glamour friendly at the Aviva Stadium.
Pool got off to the perfect start with a goal in the 8th minute from Iago Aspas after good work down the left from Jordon Ibe.
The Reds went in at the break 1 up but that was more through good fortune as Rovers had a number of excellent chances including a Ryan Brennan header which rebounded off the inside of a post.
But it was Liverpool who added further goals in the second half from Fabio Borini, Martin Kelly and Jack Dunn.
