Leinster have booked a home quarter final in the Heineken European Cup but only for the time being.
The Blues did what they had to do in their final group game against Ospreys winning by 36 points to 3 at the RDS.
But they now have a patient wait till the end of the weekend to see if others overtake them.
The match was effectively over as a contest early on when Ospreys second row Ian Evans was sent off for trampling on the head of his Leinster counterpart Mike McCarthy.
The Blues took advantage of their numerical superiority to go in at the break 17-3 in front including a penalty try and a Cian Healy touchdown.
It was now just a matter of whether Leinster would kick on and grab a bonus point and they achieved that with ease with another penalty try added to five pointers from Jordi Murphy and Isaac Boss.
