Leinster outclassed Wasps 52-3 as they opened their Heineken Champions Cup campaign with a commanding victory at the RDS.
Leinster got off the mark within six minutes of kick off as hooker Sean Cronin powered through and crossed the line for a converted try.

Lima Sopoaga's penalty on 11 minutes saw Wasps cut the deficit to 7-3 for the next 25 minutes.
And just before half time the momentum definitively shifted towards Leinster as Wasps suffered a double blow.

First, Sopoaga was sin-binned on 40 minutes and from the resulting passage of play, Luke McGrath got his first try of the night to put Leinster 14-3 up on the night.
The home side picked up where they left off after the break as James Lowe raced through as Leinster moved 21-3 in front.
McGrath notched his second try of the night and he was soon joined by Lowe on the two-try status as Leinster went 35-3 up with just over an hour played.

Leinster weren't done and dusted there either as Jordan Larmour and Robbie Henshaw added tries number six and seven, before an eighth try from Jack McGrath secured a 52-3 home win and sent a daunting message to their European rivals.
As for Wasps, it was a record European defeat for the English outfit.
