Leinster GAA say they hope to resume their underage competitions before Christmas.

Their Under-20 hurling and football championships have been on hiatus due to level-5 COVID-19 restrictions.

But, they say they’ve been given the green light by the Government to resume their Minor and Under-20 Championships.

Offaly, Laois, and Dublin joined Galway in the quarter-finals of the Bord Gais Energy Under-20 Hurling Championship in October.

Leinster GAA say those quarter finals are to be played the week after next.

They say their plan will see Galway will play Laois on Friday December 11, with Offaly playing Dublin the following day.

They want to see finals played prior to the beginning of the Leinster Post Primary Senior Competitions on January 9.

The quarter-finals in the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Football Championship will all be played on Saturday, December 12.

The semi-finals will follow the week after, with the final slated for Sunday, January 3.

In the quarter-finals of the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship, Offaly will play Kildare in Newbridge on Sunday, December 13.

The same day sees Mullingar host the clash of Westmeath and Dublin.

The semi-finals will be played on Sunday, December 20 and the final on January 3.
