The first-ever streaming service for the SSE Airtricity League has been launched with all the revenue set to be split between the league's clubs.

WatchLOI will have season passes available from €55 in Ireland and €69 outside of Ireland, while individual games can be purchased on a match-by-match basis for €5.

Football fans may not be able to attend matches yet due to the COVID-19 pandemic but anyone subscribing in Ireland can watch every Premier Division match apart from those matches that will be shown on Eir Sport.

However, that won't affect international subscribers, who will be able to watch every game for the rest of the season.

The FAI says that unless the match is also being broadcast on TV by RTE or Eir Sport, there will most likely be one camera at each match, but some games will have a two-camera setup.

All matches will be available to watch back until after the end of the season.

The SSE Airtricity League is set to restart on Friday, July 31st with Derry City taking on Sligo Rovers in the first match streamed on the new platform.

"We're absolutely delighted to launch our new streaming service, WATCHLOI," said FAI Commercial & Marketing Director Mark Russell.

"Working with RTE Sport and GAAGO will guarantee that we will have a best-in-class product which SSE Airtricity League supporters will be able to enjoy around the world.

"Especially with COVID-19 restrictions, this is the ideal time to launch this service but with the revenue it will generate for the clubs, this is also a major moment for the league and a fantastic opportunity to promote and enhance the domestic game in Ireland."
