Katie Taylor will be aiming for opening back-to-back professional wins when she takes on Viviane Obenaufat the Manchester Arena on December 10.
Taylor delivered a knockout performance last Saturday night, as she stopped Poland's Karina Kopinska in the third round of her first pro bout at Wembley Arena.
Her next challenge, against the Swiss pugilist, is included on the undercard of fellow London Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua.
Obenauf also counts Kopinska as her most recent opponent having beaten the Pole comfortably on points in her tenth professional outing last month.
The 30-year-old has only been beaten once and promises to provide a stiff examination of Taylor’s credentials at world title level.
That sole defeat in November 2015 was on a points decision against the recently crowned featherweight world champion Vissia Trovato.
Taylor admits that she will need to up her performance from the weekend to beat Obenaufat.
“Saturday in London was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to fight in Manchester on December 10.
"No performance is ever perfect, but I’ve been working hard with (trainer) Ross (Enamait) in the States and I think things are really coming together.
“Boxing in front of 21,000 is a new experience for me, and I’m looking forward to the next step of the journey and hoping to entertain the fans at the Manchester Arena.”
Taylor’s second pro fight against Obenauf is part of a huge night of action in Manchester as Joshua defends his IBF World Heavyweight title against Eric Molina.
If you cannot get to Manchester for Taylor's next fight you will still have to pay to watch it as it is being shown on Sky Box Office.
The event is priced at €21.95 for Republic of Ireland customers, up until midnight, Friday, December 9.
