Katie Taylor WON'T be fighting at Madison Square Garden on St Patrick's weekend after all, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

The 2012 Olympic Gold medallist was due to be on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin's world title defence against Daniel Jacobs on March 18th.

However, Hearn now says the fight has been called off, due to a disagreement with Top Rank president Todd duBoef.

Hearn revealed the news on IFL TV.

Fast forward to 27:15 to watch Hearn speak about Taylor:

“We were talking to Golovkin about Katie Taylor going on the card, which everyone wanted to do”, said Hearn.

“And then Top Rank, Todd duBoef mainly, threw his absolute toys out of the pram because they’ve got the Conlan show the night before.

“So Golovkin went on March 18th, which they weren’t very happy about but let it go.

“Then they heard Katie Taylor was on and they threw their toys out of the pram and said “we’ve got an Irish show. Katie Taylor’s massive and she’s going on the night before?'

“So then it was big drama.”

Hearn is now looking for other possible dates and venues for Taylor, admitting "she may fight the week before in Washington on the (Jermell) Charlo (v Charles Hatley) card.”

He also hinted that she could fight on the undercard of Anthony Joshua/ Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in April.

Taylor already has two wins under her belt, having beaten Karina Kopinska and Viviane Obenauf.
