Katie Taylor will fight in Dublin in April of 2018 according to her promoter Eddie Hearn.
That homecoming fight could see the Bray native become a unified lightweight world champion.
Taylor will fight for the first time since winning the WBA lightweight championship on a headline show in the UK on the 15th of December.
Speaking at today's press conference in the Irish Film Institute, Katie said she's eyeing up greater achievements in boxing "In the ring, that's where I feel most alive. I want to be the best out there, to be the greatest of all time and make history in the sport."
Speaking about the fight in Dublin Manager Brian Peters said it could happen in March or April, all going well. He added "the homecoming would be very special. The support Katie has got has been fantastic. It would be great for a lot of people to see Katie at home would be super."
Promoter Eddie Hearn believes the headline slot is where Katie belongs "It's going to be great. She's finally getting the recognition worldwide. To see her getting support all over the world will be great. I think she's going to break even more boundaries."
