Katie Taylor reached the quarter finals of the European Women's Elite Boxing Championships today, as she beat Switzerland's Sandra Brugger.

The Olympic champion was on top from the very start, and even forced her Swiss opponent into a standing count in the first few minutes of the opening round.
Taylor could meet her London 2012 rival, Russia’s Sofya Ochigava in the final, if both fighters reach the final.
