Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left with more question than answers after their winning run was ended in the Premier League.
The reds slumped to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Newcastle. They can feel hard done after Alberto Moreno’s well worked goal was disallowed with seven minutes remaining and the score at 1-0.
The linesman erred in his offside ruling, but Klopp was not protesting
“Because we weren’t good enough, the linesman thought ‘you don’t make world-class goals if you play this shit”
Klopp was quick to downplay the prospect of Liverpool being Premier League title contenders in the wake of the defeat to Newcastle:
“I'm sorry if someone is disappointed,” Klopp said after the game.
“Maybe someone is laughing at this. We're not part of this [title challengers] discussion. "I hope some people did something better on this Sunday than watching this game.”
“We have to react and learn. I'm sure the lads will do it.”
