Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has given up on his pursuit for Gareth Bale.
It's after the Welshman started for Real Madrid in the 2-1 UEFA Super Cup defeat of United.
A day earlier, Mourinho had claimed that Zinedine Zidane's selection in Skopje would offer insight into Bale’s role at the Spanish club next season.
"Clearly the club wants him, the manager wants him and he wants the club, so for me it's game over," Mourinho said after the game.
"Even before it started, but it's game over clearly because everybody knows he is going to stay."
