Former Donegal manager Jim McGuinness has ruled himself out of contention for the Mayo job.
He has been linked with the role since Stephen Rochford resigned as manager on Monday.
McGuinness' most recent coaching work has been in soccer, including Celtic FC and a short stint in China under former Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt.
He was speaking at our All Ireland Football Final show at Croke Park in association with BoyleSports, alongside former Mayo manager James Horan who also addressed rumours linking him with a return to the role he held between 2010 and 2014.
After Horan had spoken, he joked that he was now fascinated to hear what McGuinness had to say with the audience in attendance laughing along.
The Donegal man then joked back to Horan that he was "looking for a good No 2".
But on the Mayo vacancy itself, he was clear in regard to his own plans.
"Not at the moment, definitely not," he told OTB's Joe Molloy when asked if he was seeking to return to GAA management.

"It's been a long journey of development in another sport. It is a massive challenge, there's no doubt about that."
He added that having taken his badges, his next step will be to take charge of a soccer team.
"I'm excited," he said in regards to soccer.
"I've recently got a lot closer in mind how I see the game, how the game will be coached, how the game will be trained."
