Jim Gavin has come out in praise of the GAA's efforts to stamp out racism in the game.
The decision was taken at Congress last Saturday to hit offenders with a red card and a minimum 8 week ban.
It follows the Association's decision to take a tougher stance on any player abusing anyone on the field of play.
