Irish dominance continues as Flooring Porter takes the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle

The Gavin Cromwell-trained Flooring Porter has won the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle to continue Ireland's dominance in this year's Grade 1 races.

The 12/1 shot led the race from start to finish, continuing to find more and more as Paisley Park and Sire du Berlais made their move two hurdles out.

It's a first ever festival winner for Danny Mullins, who was only given the ride an hour before the race after Jonathan Moore was declared unfit.

And Mullins rode Flooring Porter out in front right away, with 2019 champion and 9/4 favourite Paisley Park looking content at the back of the field.

2020 winner Lisnagar Oscar's odds shortened before the race, but his day was ended six hurdles from home when fell, while Sire de Berlais travelled well in the center of the pack.

Three hurdles out, both Sire de Berlais and Paisley Park began to make their move, and by the time they approached the last it looked like the pair were well primed to battle for the title up the hill, along with Fury Road.

But Flooring Porter kept finding more when asked, to cross the line three and a half lengths ahead of Denise Foster's Sire du Berlais in second, Paisley Park edging out Fury Road to take third.
