Irish international manager Sue Ronan is backing Stephanie Roche to beat Robin van Persie and James Rodriguez to win the 2014 FIFA Puskas Award.
Ronan was speaking to 98FM Sport after it was announced that Roche was shortlisted along with van Persie and Rodriguez for FIFA's goal of the year gong.
"In my eyes it's the best goal in the top ten (original nominations). I'm not being biased but I think anyone watching in on FIFA today, when they were announcing it live online there, even the people in the panel there mentioned it was definitley, that they thought it was the top goal as well."
Ronan revealed that the former Peamount United player was able to do it all over again last week for a French TV crew a who were reconstructing the wonder goal scored against Wexford Youths in October 2013, proving that class is permanent.
"It's certainly not an easy goal to do but it's something Stephanie's well capable of doing believe it or not. She's always been a very, very gifted player over the years and anyone I think that's involved, played with her here or coached her will tell you that she's well capable of producing a goal like that at anytime."
