We had plenty to celebrate on Off The Ball at IMRO 2019.

From a Top 2 in the Sports Broadcaster stakes to a podium lockout in the Sports Programme category, OTB brought home a haul of trophies like Liverpool of the '80s.

IMRO 2019, Off The Ball Team OTB: (L to r) Raf Diallo, Enda Coll, Joe Molloy, Maire Treasa Ni Cheallaigh, Nathan Murphy, Shane Hannon, Adrian Barry, JP Gilbourne

Nathan Murphy or 'The Beast of Ballyhaunis' as he's billed on our Crappy Quiz is IMRO 2019 Sports Broadcaster of the Year. Which goes to show, Mayo aren't always the bridesmaids.

Maire Treasa Ni Cheallaigh also won silver in that category to complete western seaboard dominance.

Our weekend coverage also had much to celebrate as part of a 1-2-3 finish in the IMRO 2019 National Sports Programme of the Year.

Off The Ball Live won gold, while Off The Ball weeknights took silver and our football magazine Team 33 won bronze.

Storytelling

Now Thats What I Call Sport also earned bronze in the local/regional category.

John Duggan, IMRO 2019 John Duggan came back from Russia with... a trophy

We also won in the Sports Story category. You might remember John Duggan's adventures in Russia at the World Cup last summer? Or the hat? Well, his From Russia With Love won gold.

Silver and bronze also went to OTB stories: 'Declan Rice - A Tragedy In Three Acts' and 'Painkillers in Irish Sport'.
