Huge challenges are still to come for the Dublin footballers in this years Championship, according to 2-time All-Ireland winner Mossy Quinn.
Dublin play their final Super 8's game of the year this Sunday when they welcome Roscommon to Croke Park.
The Dubs are already assured of a place in the semi-finals of the competition, following their 1-14 to 0-14 win over Tyrone last Saturday in Omagh.
Speaking on OTB:AM, Mossy Quinn said this affords Jim Gavin the chance to rotate his squad against Roscommon "They know they're 6 days out from an All-Ireland semi-final. They effectively have an advantage over their opponents they're going to be playing. They can rest up a couple of their key guys."
However, Quinn acknowledges this has both pro's and con's "You get some of your key guys rest, but then some of your squad guys come in and what happens if they go in and shoot the lights out against Roscommon. They're putting more pressure on, which again, makes management's job slightly more difficult. If someone comes in and scores 2-5, do you then tell them they're back on the bench the following week?!"
A point would be enough to secure the Dubs a top place finish in Group 2, which would set up a final 4 clash with whoever finishes as runners-up in Group 1.
As things currently stand, Galway, Monaghan and Kerry are all within a chance of facing the reigning champions.
In order for Kerry to progress, The Kingdom would have to beat Kildare, while Galway would also have to defeat Monaghan. Kerry would also have to finish the group with a greater points differential than Monaghan.
A point would be good enough to see both Galway and Monaghan progress with the Tribesmen taking top spot, and Malachy O'Rourke's side finishing as runners up.
Mossy Quinn thinks all of those teams offer their own unique threats "I think there are huge challenges coming for Dublin. Whoever comes out of that side and you've seen the road that Monaghan have taken through it. Monaghan have beaten Dublin in the league in Croke Park this year. I think whatever way it comes out this weekend; we're going to be set up for a couple of really big games."
“It’s going to take something unique for a team to play like that and beat Dublin. I think Dublin are so controlled in those environments. They’re good on the ball, they make good decisions and don’t leave themselves too exposed at the back. You need to be willing to come out and go toe to toe with Dublin. I don’t know that you can play that counter-attack game against them.”
