Lewis Hamilton gave his Formula 1 championship ambitions a huge boost today, as he claimed the British Grand Prix.
The Englishman started in sixth place, but drove a near perfect race to take the win.
The race was delayed for an hour after just 1 lap after a massive crash between Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and Williams driver Felipe Massa. The red flag was raised and the race was stopped.
Mercedes then dominated after the restart with Rosberg and Hamilton commanding a massive lead.
But Rosberg had huge gear box problems and was forced to drop out of the race, only for his title rival Hamilton to take the win.
Valterri Bottas of Williams finished in second place, just ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.
Hamilton is now just four points behind Rosberg in the standings.
