The welterweight suffered a bad cut over her left eye in her win over Romania’s Cristina Stanca last Monday.
She was, therefore, forced to miss her fight today for safety reasons.
Her Turkish opponent, Guluzar Kara, now gets a walkover into the quarter finals.
Michaela Walsh and Katie Taylor’s last 16 bouts take place tomorrow.
