Ger Brennan believes this year's Dublin County Championship final between St. Vincents and Ballymun Kickhams will come down to whichever team turns up on the day.

Speaking to Off the Ball's Oisin Langan after his side beat St. Judes by 4-12 to 1-12 and asked what he thought of the performance, the Vincents' back said: "Very disjointed at times, I would say. We kind of knew how Judes would go about their business. We would have watched them very closely in their quarter-final win. They're very strong on the counter and have an awful lot of strike runners - Kev Mc being the most notable one.

"So we left ourselves exposed on occasion, particularly with the goal at the end - it was a poor goal to concede. The last point of the first half from their kick-out - we left ourselves exposed again.

"On another day, they're goals that go in against us so look it, we're happy to be in a final but we've an awful lot to work on," he added.

Looking ahead to the clash with Ballymun Kickhams for the county title, the former Dublin player said: "Yeah it's going to be good isn't it? Look it, we've had some humdingers against Ballymun in the last couple of years and they've had a great number of years in terms of the players that have come through into senior county who have served their club and their community extremely well and Paddy Christie is a guy who has put an awful lot of work into the younger teams there with James Clancy.

So, we're loking forward to to the challenge. We know they know what we're about, they know what we're about and and it'll come down to a bit of hunger really I think on the day - there's not going to be too much in between the squads.
