Finn Harps' international approach to recruitments has continued, with the signing of Croatian striker Filip Mihaljevic.

The move to Ballybofey is just the latest stop of Mihaljevic's nomadic career. The 29-year old graduated through Dinamo Zagreb's youth system, but has had spells with Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria, Widzew Lodz in Poland, Italy's Seregno, and - most exotically - Visakha in Cambodia.

Mihaljevic will become the first ever Croatian to play in the League of Ireland.

Earlier this week, Harps signed the league's first ever Turkish player - centre-back Erol Erdal Alkan.

They've also secured the signatures of Madagascar international Bastien Hery, and Spanish defender Jose Carrillo.

“I’m delighted to sign with Finn Harps," Mihaljevic said, "I’ve settled well and the lads in the squad have been great. I’m excited for the season ahead and to meet the supporters very soon.”

Horgan added, "Filip has done well since he’s come in.

"He’s experienced and has scored goals wherever he’s played. It might take him some time to settle in and adjust to the intensity of the league here but I’m confident he’ll be a good player for us.”

Harps open their season at home to Drogheda United on February 18.
