The FAI has confirmed Ireland will play Turkey in an international friendly at the Aviva on the 25th of May. The match will be preceded by the FAI Umbro Junior Cup final. The Boys in Green have faced Turkey 12 times and their record is five wins, six draws and one defeat. However the last time the two met Ireland missed out on a place at Euro 2000 after a 0-0 play-off draw in Bursa sent Turkey through on the away goals rule. Ireland, who face Serbia in Dublin next month, are hoping to arrange further fixtures at the end of the current season with manager O'Neill planning in earnest for the start of the Euro 2016 qualifiers in September.
