It was a bad night at the office last night for Manchester City and Chelsea.
City’s search for a first win in the Champions League this season continues.
They lost 2-1 at home to CSKA Moscow last night, in a miserable night for the Sky Blues.
CSKA took the lead in the second minute through a Seydou Doumbia header.
Yaya Toure equalised for City shortly afterwards, but Doumbia netted again before the break.
That second goal proved to be the winner.
City also ended the game with just 9 men, as both Fernandinho and Yaya Toure were sent off in the second half, to compound their miserable night.
The result means City sit bottom of their group with two games to play.
They're now facing an uphill task to reach the knockout stages.
Chelsea fared little better last night.
They drew 1-1 away to Maribor, with Eden Hazard missing a late penalty which would have won the game.
The Slovenians took the lead thanks to an Agim Ibraimi wonder strike, before Nemanja Matic equalised for the Blues.
And Hazard missed the penalty which would have put Chelsea into the knockout stages with 2 games to spare.
They're still well on course to reach the last 16, though, sitting top of their group, 3 points ahead of second placed Schalke.
Elsewhere last night, Bayern Munich beat Roma 2-nil in Germany in City's Group.
And Lionel Messi has equalled the all-time Champions League goalscoring record.
He moved level with Real Madrid legend Raul on 71 goals last night, after scoring twice for Barcelona in their 2-0 win over Ajax.
