Dundalk have completed the signings of Scottish goalkeeper Cameron Yates, and Moroccan forward Sami Ben Amar.
22-year old Yates was a free agent after his contract expired at English League One side, Wycombe Wanderers.
He'll provide competition to incumbent Lilywhites goalkeepers Alessio Abibi and Peter Cherrie.
He made three appearances for Wycombe last season, all of which were in the EFL Trophy, having previously come through Leicester City's Academy system.
Ben Amar is a 23-year old forward who was released by French second tier side Nîmes earlier this summer. Born in France, Ben Amar is a Moroccan U23 international.
Former Dundalk winger Daryl Horgan played a role in convincing Yates to join the Oriel Park club.
"Daryl is a good mate of mine,” Yates told the Dundalk website, “He sang the praises of the club and the people and the staff that are here so that was another positive for me coming over here."
Head coach Vinny Perth said, "Cameron is someone who has come over and we have had a good look at him.
"He’s 22, his character fits the DNA of the club and the target for him now is to try and force himself into the first team and become an option for next season.”
Ben Amar helped Nîmes gain promotion to Ligue 1, scoring three goals in 11 Ligue 2 matches in 2019-20.
However, he was limited to one top flight appearance - a substitute cameo against Lorient - last term.
I am very excited,” Ben Amar said, “Dundalk is a very good club and I want to play here.
"In France, it is difficult for young players if you are not playing and I just want to play football. Dundalk have given me the chance to do that and I really want to show what I can do.”
Perth added, "Sami has raw talent and we have watched a lot of his games in France.
“He is someone who can play all across the front three positions and he’s a player who will really excite people."
