The Dublin Hurlers lost today's Walsh Cup final against Kilkenny in Croke Park.
It finished, Kilkenny 0-24, Dublin 1-17.
Kilkenny started the better, and led by seven points to two after just 15 minutes. But four fine points from Mark Schutte kept the Dubs in touch, as they went in at the break 12 points to 8 down.
10 minutes into the second half, and Paul Ryan brought Anthony Daly's men right back into it with a goal from a free. Ryan had already bagged himself four free's before that.
That goal cut the Cat's lead to just two points.
Kilkenny then hit the next seven points without reply, and looked almost home and dry, as they led by 21 points to 1-10.
The Dubs then rallied, and with just four minutes left, the Dubs had brought it back to just a two point lead once again.
But the Cats held on and scored the final two scores of the game to claim a 0-24 to 1-17 win.
Anthony Daly will certainly be happy with the run out, as his young side certainly showed that they were no pushovers against the mighty Kilkenny.
