The Dublin Footballers are through to this yearÂ’s All Ireland football final.
Jim GavinÂ’s men beat Kerry today by 3-18 to 3-11.
Things were looking bleak for the Dubs though, as they conceded three first half goals. But Dublin always stayed in touch with Kerry, as it was nip and tuck for most of the game, until Kevin McManamon was sprung from the bench and scored a goal to give Dublin a late lead. A Dean Rock goal in stoppage time put the icing on the cakeÂ…
Jim Gavin will be particularly happy with the impact his substitutes made. Goals from Kevin McManamon and Dean Rock were the difference in the end, but strong performances from Philly McMahon and Eoghan OÂ’Gara really showed the depth that Dublin boast this season.
They will now meet Mayo in this years All Ireland final.
