Dublin's hurlers suffered big disappointment in their opening Allianz League game.
The Boys in Blue had a big test to open their campaign- against reigning All-Ireland champions Tipperary.
And the Munstermen eased to a 16 point victory at Croke Park this evening.
Ger Cunningham's men actually started the game the better side, looking the more energetic of the teams.
Early scores from Niall McMorrow, Oisin O'Rorke, Fiontan McGibb and Donal Burke saw the Boys in Blue lead by 0-4 to 0-1 after 10 minutes.
They could have extended their lead further, but for some missed chances, while Cian O'Sullivan fluffed a goal chance.
Tipperary were sluggish to start, but gradually got a stranglehold in the game, as they started to dominate the half back battle.
Seven of the next eight scores went the way of the Munster men, as they went in 0-11 to 0-6 up at the break.

Tipperary continued in the same vein in the second half, knocking over score after score to put the game beyond doubt.
They hit 1-10 without reply in a 20-minute second half period, as they put the young Dubs to the sword.
Seamus Callanan took advantage of Dublin indiscipline with 0-8 from frees, while Aidan McCormack also impressed for the Liam McCarthy Cup holders.
Jason Forde slammed Tipp's goal int the net, putting the nail in Dublin's coffin, as they led by 1-22 to 0-7 on the hour mark.
Eamon Dillon scored a consolation goal for Dublin- finishing well from a Donal Burke cross, however it mattered little in the game.
While Shane Barrett was sent off late on for two yellow cards, compounding Dublin's misery.
Ger Cunningham will need to pick his charges up quickly, as they make the trip to Cork next weekend.
