Drogheda United are on the lookout for a new manager after parting company with Robbie Horgan. The Board of Drogheda United thanked Horgan for his dedication to the club since 2011 when he joined the coaching staff, and formerly as a player. The Drogs started the season well but the recent poor run of results has forced the Board to re-assess.
Horgan said: " Through mutual agreement but with a very heavy heart l have parted ways with Drogheda United. “I would like to thank everybody at the club for their support and hard work not just this season but over the last three seasons and also during my time here as a player.
" I have had the privilege to play, coach, be assistant manager and manager of this club with notable success along the way. Anyone that knows me, knows how much l love Drogheda United and l managed it with passion and pride. Unfortunately, this passion and pride was not being reflected on the pitch with the inevitable outcome. "
