It was a fairytale send off for Brian O'Driscoll as he played his final ever home international.
Ireland beat Italy by 46 points to 7, with Drico playing a key part in three of the Irish tries.
The most capped International player of all time was then replaced with 15 minutes remaining to a standing ovation, and was then named man of the match, which was given the largest cheer of the day.
First half tries from Johnny Sexton and Andrew Trimble gave the Irish a 17-7 half time lead.
It was more of the same from the boys in green after the break, as they ran in five more tries.
Cian Healy, Sean Cronin, Jack McGrath, Fergus McFadden and a second from Johnny Sexton all going over for five points, as Ireland set up a huge final game away to the French.
With the win secured, attention turned to BOD as the 50,000 in attendance used every opportunity to give the great man another cheer.
It would be a real fairytale if Joe Schmidt's men can go and claim the 6 Nations trophy in France.
