Connacht claimed a famous win in France with a 16-14 victory against Toulouse at the Stade Ernest Wallon. Kieran Marmion scored Connacht’s try in the 47th minute while Dan Parks kicked 11 points to give the Western Province their greatest ever win. Thierry Dusautoir scored a late try for Toulouse but the four times Heineken Cup champions couldn't get themselves a winning score to deny Connacht a famous win.
Before that Munster kept up the Irish Provinces 100% record over the weekend with a 36-8 bonus point win over Perpignan at Thomond Park. Tries from Sean Dougall, Dave Kilcoyne, Keith Earls and James Coughlan were supplemented with a penalty try to complete a rout over a flat Perpignan outfit. Munster now top Pool 6 with 10 points.
