Former World Champ Ken Doherty pulled off an excellent comeback in York this afternoon to book his place in the third round of the UK Championship.
Welshman Michael White streaked into the lead winning the first three frames as Doherty watched on from his seat.
White would only win one more frame after that as Doherty rediscovered his mojo.
The Ranelagh man rattled of 4 frames on the spin to edge in front which included a break of 109 in the sixth frame.
White levelled matters winning the eighth frame but Doherty took the last two frames with ease for a place in the next round.
Doherty joins Kilkenny's David Morris after his win over current World Champ Mark Selby.
The duo are also joined by Northern Ireland's Mark Allen after he whitewashed Belgian teen Luca Brecel 6-0.
