There was disappointment for Chelsea last night in their Champions League opener.
They could only claim a point from their tie against Schalke at Stamford Bridge.
Cesc Fabregas gave the Blues an early lead with his first goal for the club.
But The Blues couldn't add to that, despite having several chances.
And they were punished for their wastefulness, as the Germans equalised.
Klaas Jan Huntelaar netted the equaliser with an excellent finish after a counter attack in the 62nd minute.
That goal means the spoils were shared.
Diego Costa was only fit enough to start the game from the bench, as he continues to recover from a hamstring he suffered while playing for Spain earlier this month.
Didier Drogba started up front instead- in his first European game for Chelsea since he scored the winning penalty for the Blues in the Champions League Final in 2012.
Mourinho says Costa was not fit enough to play and says he should be fine to play against Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend.
"It was not to protect Costa for the game on Sunday, it was because he was not in condition to start the game," said Mourinho.
"Playing on Saturday, three days is not enough for him to recover."
