A trip to Tannadice may have been hard to get excited about after ThursdayÂ’s Champions League draw, but Celtic managed to take all three points as an Anthony Stokes free kick in the 90th minute gave the Hoops all three points.
The Glasgow side looked tired throughout the game, but the Tangerines were unable to capitalize.
Neil Lennon picked a very strong starting eleven, making just two changes to the side that won in Europe on Wednesday. Virgil Van Dijk coming into the defence, and Derk Boerrigter replacing Giorgios Samaras.
But perhaps a few more changes would have suited the Hoops as the champions never really opened up the United defence.
Anthony Stokes free kick in the 90th minute, which just clipped the underside of the crossbar was enough to take the three points.
