Brisbane has formally won the bid to host the 2032 Summer Olympics.

The Australian city didn't have much competition as many of the other bids didn't get through the International Olympic Committee’s approval process.

Brisbane will become the third Australian host venue of the Games, following in the footsteps of Melbourne and Sydney.

“This is a very proud day for Australia, make no mistake,” declared Australian Olympic Committee president John Coates.

“I thank the IOC members for their confidence. Brisbane 2032 is genuinely committed to serving the ideals of the Olympic movement.

"The Olympic Games in Brisbane will be in the most diligent, grateful and enthusiastic hands. I make this commitment to the athletes of the world – we will provide you with an unforgettable experience.”

Queensland's premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, says the Games in 2032 will be in "very safe hands" on the gold coast.

“We pledge to create a successful model under your new host city strategy by showcasing a cost-neutral, climate-positive, safe and enthralling experience for the whole world,”

Paris will hold the next Games in three years’ time with Los Angeles hosting in 2028.

Indeed are proud to support Team Ireland at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Indeed believes the world works better when people are given every opportunity to unleash their true talents. #TalentUnleashed
