Brian O'Driscoll feels lifetime bans for anabolic steroid use in rugby and other sports should be on the table as an option.
The issue of how to deal with those who have faced bans in regard to doping has emerged on these shores this week.
Munster's Gerbrandt Grobler served a two year ban after testing positive for an anabolic steroid in 2014. He has yet to make a competitive appearance for the province but is returning from an injury that has thus far curtailed his involvement.
BOD joined Ger and Dave tonight to discuss the latest goings-on in Irish rugby and the Ireland legend had strong words in regards to those who have doped and how transgressions should be dealt with.
"It's inexcusable to use a performance enhancing drug and I think a two year ban for anyone who uses an anabolic steroid is ridiculously short," she said.
"I wouldn't be against the encouragement of a lifetime ban because it's going to discourage people that are thinking of making a small 10-15% gain from thinking twice about doing it."
Brian also discussed Leinster's emerging talent Jordan Larmour as well as picking his ideal Ireland back-three (it includes Simon Zebo!) for the Six Nations opener.
