Brennan, Conroy & Quinn Talk to 98FM Sport

St. Vincent's march towards back to back Leinster titles (and maybe All-Ireland titles, sssh!) continues but there was a collective sigh of relief from the Marino men when the final whistle blew at Parnell Park.

The Dublin champs led Garrycastle by 10 points in the 25th minute thanks partly to goals from Mossy Quinn and Shane Carthy, both assisted by Diarmuid Connolly who was excellent.

But the Westmeath men fought back until they eventually levelled the game in the 41st minute with a Michael Monaghan point after Dessie Dolan had found the net for the visitors with a classy finish.

Tommy Conroy's team rolled their sleeves up and, inspired by a wonderful Michael Savage save midway through the half, St. Vincent's went on to win the game by 5 points with Quinn scoring a late penalty and point to seal it.
